To make the frames you need to figure out what size you want
in the middle. For a 3”x5” frame inside
you would need to cut a piece of cardstock 8”x10”. It requires 2 inch on all four sides to
create the frame side. The frame sides
will cover an additional ½” on all 4 sides.
This is true no matter what size frame you want to make.
Take your piece of paper and score on all four sides at ½ “,
1”, 1 ½”, and 2”.
On the both short sides score down to the second score line (1”)
at 2 ½” from each end See “A” in the picture below.
The picture below shows the cut lines. Cut on the solid lines. All of the squares represent ½” square.
Once cut it should look like the picture below.
Place glue dots or whatever glue you prefer to use at the
points labeled “A”.
Fold the score lines on the long sides. Place Tear & Tape adhesive on the
backside of the flap labeled B. Fold into
a box and secure down
Fold the score lines on the short sides. Place Tear & Tape adhesive on the
backside of the flap labeled C. Fold into
a box and secure down making sure to square the corners before sticking the glue
dot down.
This is what it should look like when finished.
