Holiday Cake and Apple Cider Packages

I'm so happy right now!  I finally found the Cake In A Cup in the USA, thanks to Duncan Hines.  My mom kept on mailing me these amazing little cake packages from Germany for a while. I had this awesome idea about a gift including the Cake In A Cup and a package of Apple Cider to put on the table during Thanksgiving or just to hand out for little gifts.  Finally here is my finished project!

Since I've been preparing for this project for quiet some time. I ordered A2 clear card boxes over a year ago. I cut the box in half and embossed them with the Fall Text embossing folder. Yes, you can emboss them, which makes it so much cooler!

I lined the boxes with cardstock in the size of 4 3/8" x 12 1/8" which I scored from both sides at 5 3/4". Cut the Fall Fest Prints at 3" x 12 1/8" and scored it the same way.  To complete the package I used the Hello Fall Bundle and made a cute little Fall tag.

Let me know how you like today's project, your opinion is important to me!

Thanksgiving

I can't believe October is pretty much over and Thanksgiving is not that far away, time flies. I wanted to come up with a few little gifts for my neighbors again and I found this acorn as an electronic cutting file. For the final touches I used the Hello Fall Bundle which completes this project beautifully.

I'm pretty sure my neighbors will love it.

Like I said October is almost over and that means that our planner sale is almost over too. Only five days left to take advantage of it. Click on the image below to check it out.

I am thankful for....

The Eclipse technique is all over the internet in these days, so of course I wanted to try it too. I found these wooden frames at a local craft store and they were just perfect for this project.  This piece will look so good on my mantel!

I stamped the images on Buttercream cardstock and filled them in with Fun Stampers Journey Color Splash, I love this subtle look. The leaves on the frame are stamped with brown StazOn, because I wanted for me to leave the option of staining the frame. But I have to admit, I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out.

Let me know how you like it.

Thanks for stopping by!

A different kind of Team Meeting

Since this Blog is all about creativity I would like to show you what my up-line and I are doing during our team meetings.
I know this is a little departure from what you are used to seeing on my blog. It is however still taking raw materials and turning them into something beautiful.

We started off first with a project that was near and dear to my heart. A purse!

And of course what is a purse without a matching wallet.

Needless to say we are hooked! I love these kind of team meetings.

In our next team meeting we decided to create something that everyone can use.

During the first project which I did on a 17 year old sewing machine that spend more time jumping around than sewing, I finally had my fill.
So my awesome Husband and I spend an entire weekend researching sewing machines. So in the end we ended up getting this beautiful machine, which has more bells and whistles than my computer.

Stay tuned and see how the projects progress.

Nativity

This project I wanted to do for the longest time and I  always postponed it. This year finally I thought about it early enough to get it done before the holidays. To make this Nativity scene I had to dig deep into my craft room, it is a consolidated work of art with a lot of different tools. The main credit I have to give to Alexandra Bleicher from Alex's Crea'tive Corner, she came up with all the different Characters. I just had to adjust a lot of the shapes since I kept on selling all my punches. I have learned a valuable lesson, keep your punches!

Since I wanted to make a complete nativity scene of course I needed a stable, palm trees and a couple of animals.
This is when my electronic cutter became very handy.

I filled all the characters with candy and will put gift cards in the camel and the donkey. The only thing left to do is to decide who to gift this labor of love too. I had a lot of fun working on this project but it is definitely a lot of work and will not be done in a day.

Party Ghosts

This card was so much fun to make. These little Party Ghosts are a cute addition to any project, they come in so many different designs and they are a nice size to work with. I made a small slit in the Happy Halloween sentiment for the peeping ghost.

When you open the card there is a little 3d surprise, I thought it would be fun to put a battery operated tea light in the middle to use it  as an addition to the Halloween decoration.

Hello Fall

When I was a kid I played a lot with Fun Foam making Jewelry and other fun stuff.  Somehow it always reminded me of leather. It has the look, feel, and texture.
Today I know a little more about crafting and design.  I wanted to use this leather look and make it look like it had been branded.

To do that, I needed to heat the Fun Foam with a Heat Gun and than stamped the image with StazOn. Hold the stamp down for a little bit to get the branded effect. The background was inspired by Carrie Rhoades and made with the Fun Stampers Journey Gel Press.

To learn how to do this and other fun projects, contact me to attend one of my workshops.

Ghost Poop

The little Ghost I used for the project below is my favorite one from the Party Ghost stamp set.  I know he is making a grumpy face because he lost his scoop of ice cream. But for my project something else came to mind, LOL. Since there was no sentiment for what I wanted to use it for, I had to become a little inventive and dug out my label maker.

My customers loved these cute little ghost turds.

I'm excited to hear how you like them.

But there is some exciting news for you too, check out below what Fun Stampers Journey has to offer during the month of October. These Planners would make an awesome Christmas gift for somebody who needs a little organization in their life. Click on the image below to find out.

Photo Stand

This is another project I made with the Creature Comfort set. I just wanted to show my group of ladies it doesn't take a whole lot to get crafty. With one stamp set we were able to make a gift set with the matching gift box, this photo stand plus some cards.

And you don't have to be artistic either, the stamps will do it for you. The only thing you need to do is color them in.

Also check out this amazing sale going on through the month of October. Click on the image to find some great deals.

Creature Comforts

I wanted to make a gift that a young girl would appreciate. To accomplish this I decided to come up with a project were they can make their own jewelry using Shrinky Dinks.  I also wanted to reflect the Fall season, so these cute little creatures came to mind.

The inside of the cover doubles as a card so it can be given as a gift.

Here is a close up of the bracelet .

And here are the earrings.

I think any girl would be thrilled to get a gift like this.

Shrinky Dinks you can get in your local craft store or online.
