New On My Desk!

For my inspiration for today's project I didn't have to go very far. I had to buy one of these inflatable gnomes a while ago and he has been residing in my backyard for quiet some time. I love when I look out my She-shed and see his cheery face.

From that inspiration I came up with this Jolly Old Elf Christmas card. I mounted the card front to a half circle so he is actually rocking away.

I used a compass for the large circles because I really wanted to make a large Santa. I had to think outside the box for the mustache and the mittens. The mustache was created with the Poinsettia dies, I just trimmed of one petal. The mittens are created with the Tulip punch.
I think he will be looking very good on a Mantel rocking away!

New On My Desk!

It's the time to start thinking about decorating the House for Christmas! I love to create my own decorations, what about you? I came up with this idea a few years ago when I made one of these for a gift. I always wanted to make one for myself, but it was always put back on the back burner. This year I finally remembered and got it going.

I combined the Poinsettia Petals Bundle and Beautiful Boughs for this fun project. But you can do it with any other kind of flower. I added a few decorative rocks to give it a little bit more weight, but it also adds to the finishing touches.

Now I just have to find the perfect spot for my Poinsettia decorations.

New On My Desk!

I don't know what's going on this year, but I've already received two Christmas cards this year! It's not even Thanksgiving yet! Shouldn't there be a rule or even better a law not to send Christmas cards until after Turkey day? Well, it made me feel pretty bad since I hadn't even start making mine. I better get my act straightened out and get started! I think this is going to be my Holiday card for this year. I'm not a very traditional kind of person when it becomes to Christmas cards, so I thought I would try something different.

For this card I used the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper and went with the traditional Ho, Ho, Ho cut with the Playful Alphabet. The cute little Santa hats are from the Little Treats Bundle. I think my Friends and Family will love it.

What are your favorite Christmas cards?

New On My Desk!

I had this idea of a Christmas card shaped as an angel, and was looking through all my stamps and dies to find the right shapes. I had the Dove Of Hope Bundle for the wings but wasn't sure what to do for the body. I wanted to use all dies, so the Stitched Triangles were my rescue. The project did not turn out to be a card, but it became a really cute gift tag.

I used Whisper White and Gold to stay traditional but I can imagine it will look good in any color!
What do you think?

Below you have a visual of what dies and stamps I used.

Looking at all the shapes from the Stitched Triangles I can definitely see more shapes I can use for other projects. Do I see a Dragon somewhere?

What do you see?

New On My Desk!

Our weather today was frightful, LOL! We woke up to snow and rain and it was really crummy outside. Those are the days I really love being home in my cozy craft room stamping away. This also gave me the inspiration for my project today. We didn't get enough snow to build a snowman yet, but I can always make one up!

I love everything Snowman related. This cute little fella was number one on my wish list when the new Mini Catalog came out. Isn't he a jolly little guy! I wanted to create a little Forrest scene, and thought that the trees from the In The Woods Dies would work perfect for that.

Do you love Snowmen too? Well, if you would like to check him out you can click right HERE

Have a great weekend!

New On My Desk!

Lately I've been seeing more and more of these slim/tall cards popping up. Of course I had to give it a try. I have to admit you can fit way more stamped images on this size of card and you also have a lot more room to write to your loved ones.  It was kind of fun just decorating away.  For my slim card I chose the Coming Home Bundle and created a little cozy street scene. I added a little Wink Of Stella onto the roofs and the trees to give it a frosty look. The background paper is from the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper which is just perfect.

If you're trying to figure out where I got the sentiment from, it is a little preview for an upcoming Bundle called Curvy Celebrations which will be in the new Mini Catalog in January. But what if I tell you, you can actually order it right now? Yes, this is a exclusive early-release for you to order! Look at the images below, isn't it beautiful?

New On My Desk!

The last couple of weeks have been so busy I barely made it into my craft room. It was the time to get everything ready for winter, raking leaves, and cutting trees and bushes back. I love my garden with all the trees and bushes, but once Fall comes around it becomes work.  Don't we all wish we could just spend every day in our rooms just crafting away? Well, unfortunately that's a dream and real life catches up with us. But I got everything done and now it is back into my wonderful crafting space. Just in time to get this lovely birthday card made up for my Sister in law.

The Nothing's Better Than Bundle was just perfect for her birthday card. This bundle includes a little something for everybody. What I like most about it is that you can switch the words to whatever you need it for.  If you have a Coffee addict, or a Chocolate lover or maybe a Cookie monster! There is something for everybody in your life.
