Santa's Boots

Where did the time go? I can't believe it's only a couple more days until Christmas Day! I'm really excited, our Daughter will be here tomorrow and we going to have so much fun. I will be taking off during the Holidays to spend quality time with my Family. But I couldn't just sign off without showing you one more project.

Aren't these Booties just the cutest little thing? I had to fill them with coal, just in case some of my Family members didn't make it onto the nice list. LOL!

I wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Stay safe and I 'll talk to you next year!

Countdown to Christmas

I was just on my phone with my Daughter and it actually hit me, it will only be one more week and she will be home for the Holidays! It is both exciting and also a scary thought as well. Scary because there is so much more for me to do, and so little time to get it done.  It's always the little things you think about last. I like to have some small gifts on hand, because you never know when some occasion pops up and you would like to bring something handmade.

I would like to show you these cute little angels which are filled with a couple of candies. I mounted the head on with a small clothespin so you don't have to rip the angel apart to get to the candy. Because I would like to keep the angels around for a little bit longer.

 Have a great weekend!

Update from Santa's Candy Shop

Just peeked into Santa's Candy Shop and the way it looks like all the goodies are packed and ready to go. Santa will deliver in time!!! I definitely felt like Santa in the last few hours! I made fifty of these cute little Snowmen for my Husband to take to work. I hope they will like them.

Here is a closeup of these cuties. To make them, I  used two different size circles and clued them together for the snowman body. The face and the hat are cutting files, believe me I was happy I didn't have to punch all of them out by hand.

It's getting closer and closer to Christmas!!! Let me know if  you have anything on your wish list you would like to order, I'm more than happy to help you or maybe your other half.

Stylish Christmas and Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies

It feels so good to know if I need a card really fast, I can just go to my craft room and I have everything I need. My Husband needed a few Christmas Cards recently and it was no problem at all to get them done. This is another great card for a beginning stamper. This time I added a little sparkle by embossing the swirly background. But even that is not a complicated technique, and the result is just stunning.

Snowflake Showcase Countdown - Only a few hours left

The countdown is on, and there is literally only a few hours left.  It is very sad, but after tonight the limited edition Snowflake Showcase will no longer be available. This set is not only good for the snowy season, it can be used for so much more. So if you haven't got it yet you might want to consider ordering it.

This is one of the projects I made with the Snow Is Glistening and the Snowfall Thinlits Dies. It is a fast and easy card, great for any beginner. Look at the size of the large snowflake and how detailed they all are. I am really going to miss this set.

Merry Christmas Thinlits

We are in the busiest time of the year and greeting cards are not necessarily your number one chore right now. You need a Christmas card which is not overly complicated and easy to get done in an assembly line. What makes it even more fun the entire Family can help. Aren't we always searching for that perfect Family get together and entertainment.

This card is very easy and fast to assemble. You just need a card base, I choose white because it pretty much goes with everything. Than I cut two layers, each slightly smaller than the one before and for my focal point I traced a star shaped template onto my silver paper and cut it out. Now if you have little kids and they might not be perfect with cutting skills, it's a handmade card and everybody in your family or your friends will love this personal touch. To add a little bit more to complete the card I used the Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies, but you could put a bow in the middle or maybe some other embellishments. How easy is that! Plus it's a made with love!!

Peaceful Poinsettia

Hello everybody I'm back! I took a little break from my craft room and we went to visit our Daughter over Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time, but like always the visit was way to short. Now I'm back in my work shop and believe me you don't want to peak, it's a disaster. I'm working on so many different projects at the same time it's getting insane. But I have to admit I have an organized mess. LOL!

For todays project I would like to introduce you to the Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set. Poinsettia's are my favorite flower for this season.  I love the bright colors which makes everything so cheery.

What is your favorite flower of the season?

Thanks for stopping by.

Making Christmas Bright

I always hear people say, I'm not artistic enough to stamp. The truth is we all have the artistic ability within us. All you need is inspiration and the right tools. Stampin up also helps with that by providing suggested color combinations to help you create the look you want to achieve.

The project above was mainly created with tools from Stampin Up, only a little stamping was required. Below you can find the list of materials I used to create this easy and fun project.

 Have an awesome weekend!

Pop Of Petals Christmas Wreath

By now you can find a wreath for all kinds of occasions, but the most important one for me is still the one for Christmas. I love the smell of fresh pine branches tied into a wreath. In Germany we have the tradition of the Advents Wreath, which has four candles and gets decorated in all different ways. We light the first candle on the fourth Sunday before Christmas Eve. As a child I got always super excited when we started lighting the candles, that meant Christmas is not that far out anymore.

For todays project I broke the tradition, and made a contemporary wreath. For the flowers I used the Pop of Petal stamp set, which is actually not a holiday set. But stamped in the right colors and add a little silver, it sure looks festive.

Alpine Adventure

It's time to get those Holiday stamps out and keep on making beautiful, handmade Christmas cards. Don't you hate to get a store bought card in the mail. There is nothing better than a handmade card, and it doesn't have to be a real fancy one, it's the personal touch that counts.

This one is a very easy and fast card. What goes better for the Holidays then plaid and evergreen branches. Add some snowshoes to it, and it makes a perfect picture.

Thanks for checking in!

Merry Christmas

I have to apologize for not posting on my blog for a couple of days, but I had a good reason. My husband and I went to the Pinners Conference in Salt Lake City, and what an experience that was. I had so much fun making all the make and takes and joining some of the classes they offered. The best part was that I got a lot of inspiration. During this visit I saw tons of different signs, made with chalk, vinyl or paint. That gave me the idea for the project below.

So this is my version of the Pinterest sign idea, and I have to admit I love it. Just think about gifts and personalizing it.

Below you can see the items I used to create this project.

Peaceful Place

The Peaceful Place stamp set caught my eye the minute I had the annual catalog in my hands. I love scenic stamp sets. I ordered it right away.

If you are like me, you know how many problems we have making masculine cards. Well, don't think anymore. This is the perfect stamp set for the men in your life. It can be adjusted to the season you need it for. This so easy and such a wonderful stamp set.

Red-Black Plaid

Hi my name is Sabine and I'm a red-black plaid addict. LOL! I think everybody who knows me, knows how much I love it!  I have clothing, hats, blankets,  you name it I have it.  Nothing goes better with the country look and also for Christmas.  So when all the stores put their Christmas ribbon on the shelf I have to find the plaid ribbon selection, of course then I have to get some.

I know this is not paper related, but I'm so proud of it I had to show it off. As you know I love to make my own Holiday decorations and this one is a wonderful addition to my home.

Do you like plaid? What is your favorite color combo for the Holidays?

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Harvest Blessings

It is the time of the year were we crafters get ready for three major celebrations. I'm bouncing back and forth between Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are so many cute projects in my mind and I feel like I don't have enough time to show all of them to you.

Today I wanted to show you this gift bag idea which I decorated with the leaves from the Colorful Seasons Bundle. I embossed the front with the Basket Weave embossing folder and sprinkled a little of the Early Espresso Refill ink over the front of the topper.

To make the topper you take a piece of paper and cut it in the width of the bag you will be using. I cut my paper 5"x5" and folded it in half. To create the handle I used two of the Layering Ovals Framelits, make sure you use two sizes which are like two sizes apart. Then line up the middle of the folded paper and the middle of the framelits (I marked mine with a Sharpie)  and secure it with some Washi Tape. Before you run the sandwich through your cutter make sure the top plastic plate edge lines up with the middle of the folded paper. That way you will not cut all the way through, because we only want to create a handle. I folded and clued the middle piece to the back of the topper and after I decorated it, I stapled it to the bag.
