Graceful Garden

I can't believe tomorrow is May 1st, where does the time go. I love how everything is starting to bloom. My yard is showing off all it's colors and my rose bushes are about double the size they were last year already. My roses are the inspiration behind this card.

This card was made for a very special person in my life, my Mom! She loves flowers and receiving something handmade by me.

It also reminds me about our famous Rosengarten in my hometown of Zweibruecken, Germany. Which we are very famous for and proud off. Here are a couple of pictures for you to enjoy!

This is just a small part of the beautiful Rosengarten in my hometown.

Glass Slippers

I always keep my eyes open for some unique gift ideas, even when we go on trips out of town. That wasn't any different during our trip to California last year. We made a stop at the Jelly Belly Factory and what did I find, bins and bins full of this cute little shoes.
I instantly thought about Mother's day and how my ladies at home would feel like Cinderella's, having their own glass slipper. LOL

The complicated part was finding a little treat that would fit in these miniature shoes. Thank goodness for chocolate covered sunflower seeds.

Petal Palette

The Petal Palette Bundle was one of the first Bundles in the 2018 Occasions Catalog which caught my eye. I love this stamp set and the matching framelits. I played with the the alcohol markers for the first time. I don't know why I haven't used them earlier but I officially fell in love with them. I might need a lot more practice, but I definitely will work on that from now on.

Here is a picture of all the goodies you will receive in this wonderful set. This is a bundle you will not regret to get, certainly I didn't.

Have a wonderful evening!

Daisy Gift Tin

I bought these mini storage tins a few years ago and never used them. I was about ready to throw them out. Glad I didn't do it.  It pays to think outside the box. They don't have to be only used for storage, right?

I always need little gifts for birthdays or just to say thank you. I filled this cute little tin with some candy and decorated it up a little bit. Voila, here we have a birthday gift.

I have lots of these little tins, what would you do with them?

Thanks for stopping by.

Rose Under Glass

If you visit my blog regularly, you will know that I love to make three dimensional flowers. So when I thought about a birthday gift for somebody in our family it wasn't difficult for me to come up with an idea.

I love how these roses turned out, don't they look real. As a matter of fact the birthday girl contacted me later and was very surprised that the roses were made out of paper.

The rose bud was everybody's favorite.

To finish the look off, I used a piece of chipboard which I cut in the size of the glass opening and I glued on some artificial grass and used some babies breath and leaves for fillers.

Do you like to give handcrafted gifts?

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful weekend.

Dragonfly Dreams

This stamp set is one of my favorites. I can't believe I haven't used it more than I have. I just love it!

For the inside I decided to pop up the largest Dragonfly. I love how detailed it is.

Drapery Fold

I have seen plenty of these drape fold cards, but never tried one. Of course I had to try to make one, and it is easier then it looks like.

To create the drapery look, take a piece of Designer Paper 10"x4-3/4". Make a little pencil mark on the 4-3/4" sides 3/4" down then turn the paper 180 degrees and make a mark 3/4" down. Then cut the designer paper from one pencil mark to the other one, which gives you a diagonal cut. Then score on the straight line at 2", 3", 5", 6", 8" and 9", and fold like a fan.

Have you tried to make a Drapery Card?
What did you think?
