Gnome Sweet Gnome

Once in a while I love to do different crafts, and I'm always open to something new. My project today is not paper related but I did use a couple of dies to make it happen. I have a little obsession with Gnomes and have a little collection going already, but I always have room for one more!

This fella was so fun to make and he will get a very special place in my home.

Christmas Gleaming Bundle Teepee Card

I love Gnomes, and I was kind of heart broken when I didn't see any of these jolly old fellas in the Holiday catalog. But with a little creativity (which we have a lot) :-) we can sure come up with whatever we want! This cute little guy was created with the Gleaming Ornament Punch Pack.

I decided to make a Teepee Card so I can decorate each side different. But I ended up using the Evergreen from the In The Woods Die set. This gives it the illusion him being
 in the Forrest.

If you would like to make one of these cute little gnomes, make sure you will take advantage of the free shipping which is coming up December 11, 2019. This is a very good time to get some wishes off the list.

Let me know if I can help!

Gnome Or Santa....

These cute little fellas became pretty popular this time last year and you can still see gnomes of all shapes and sizes popping up everywhere. I have sewn and crafted a few already and I love having the cheery faces all over my house. But I hadn't done one in paper yet, so this is my very first try.

Well, I call it a gnome, but when I showed it to my daughter she saw Santa Clause. So it really all comes down who is looking at it.
No matter what, I think he looks darn cute!

This is a good size box which comes out at about 6" in height and would be a great gift card holder!

Thanks for stopping by!

Let it Snow....

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. We sure enjoyed this relaxing break in our busy lives, and I was also able to get our house decorated for Christmas. I'm so proud that I was actually done before December hit the Calendar.  This year I plan to try to stay stress free and get all my cards and gifts done so I can also enjoy the Advent time with my family.

I showed this little Snowman before, but this time I wanted to fill it with some goodies.

I didn't want the snowman to end up in a trash can after it's contents were emptied. So I decided to tie the boxes together and hide the knot underneath the hat. This way you will be able to enjoy this cute little fella for a little while longer.

Also the Year-End Closeout starts December 3rd. You can save big on a selection of retiring and surplus items including holiday catalog items, stamp sets, and Paper Pumpkin past kits. It is not to late to fill somebodies stocking with some crafty items!

Tastefull Texture Christmas Card

Every year I make a lot of Christmas cards to send to our friends and family all over the world. Of course I want a variety and I want them to look good, but I can't spend hours on one card. So when I looked through the annual catalog for inspiration I ran by the Tasteful Backgrounds Dies and one of the dies looks just like a poinsettia flower.

To give the card a little bit more texture I used the Crackle Paint Background stamp. For the sentiment I used one of the banners from the Toile Christmas Bundle.

I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, and if you are traveling, stay safe!

Extravaganza Sale And A Very Classy Holiday Card

This is the card we made during my workshop today and I also decided this is going to be my Christmas card I will be sending out to Family and Friends. I love the gold embossing on the white. I added a little color by highlighting the door, windows and the tree and framed it with the Seasonal Wreath embossing folder.
I think altogether a very classy look.

Pop Up Card

I always wanted to create a 3D pop-up card, so I thought there was no better time than today. Stampin'UP! has all these beautiful stamp bundles which work so well together so it was hard to decide which one to use.

This card is a combination between the annual and the holiday catalog and I used four different bundles. I'm just lucky that I'm a demonstrator because I get discounts along with some other perks. If being a demonstrator interests you, just contact me and I can answer your questions!

It was definitely a labor of love, but it was so much fun putting it together.

The next problem is to decide who I will gift it too.

Mark your calendars because there's a HUGE sale coming up soon!

Still Scenes Bundle

This bundle is so versatile for so many different projects, and it's hard to decided where to start.  So for my first project I wanted to make a snow globe and I wanted to keep it in white and silver which gives you the illusion of ice and snow.

And the white and silver worked out perfectly with the color changing tea light.

I had a lot of fun with this bundle and there may be more!

Have a great weekend!

First Sewing and Quilting Retread

If you were wondering where I was for a couple of days, I had the opportunity to attend my very first sewing and quilting retreat in a little town called Albion,Idaho. And of course after all that fun I had to rest for a couple of days. So finally today I would like to show you a few pictures from the trip. We got to stay at this beautiful building called Miller Hall which was established in 1901 and used to be a "Normal School" ( a place you became a teacher) back in the days.

I prepared thirty five of these cute little sewing machines and filled them with lotion and a nail file to keep the hands of the ladies nice and smooth. And of course added a candy bar to keep the spirit up.

This is how thirty five sewing machines looked, packed and ready to go.

This paper sewing machine was a family affair, my talented daughter Sarah even came up with a little poem to put into the bottom of it.

Of course I didn't wanted to go to a sewing retreat without something sewed, so I found this cute little embroidery file and I kept it in the color of a Singer Featherweight which were used by a lot of women at the retreat.

It was like Christmas in November we received a goody bag filled to the rim with all kinds of sewing goodies. And our roommates were more than generous as well with pillow gifts.

But by far the best gift I received was from my very best friend Bonnie Carington. She made a remembrance quilt which features the front side of the Miller Hall, the building we stayed in, so we always remember this fun event. Check out the first picture. Isn't this awesome? She had no pattern, only a picture.

And besides socializing, making new friends and working on our own projects we were able to make all these cute projects as well.

I had so much fun during these three days, and I'm hoping I get to go soon again.

We will be going back to paper crafting soon!

It is Snowman Season!

I don't know how it looks and feels in your part of the world, but here in Idaho it's starting to look a lot like Winter. We had our first snow which is a little too early for my taste. I would really like to enjoy a little more of this beautiful Fall weather.

But it's never to early to start on your Christmas cards. And how can you resist this cute little snowman?

 Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Holidays

Today's project wasn't even planned and has a bit of a funny story. One of my team members posted a picture of a box she purchased at a local store and just asked for some inspiration on what to do with it. That's when another team member mentioned said "Sabine, work your magic!" Well, I'm always up to a good challenge, but what I didn't know was that my store didn't carry any of these boxes. So, my wonderful husband just made one for me.

And here is the final project.

I had this snowman in mind since the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box was available and I'm so happy I kept the larger version of it.

This will be a cute little addition to my Christmas decoration this year.

Have a relaxing weekend!

Eat If Your Dare!

My craft room is kind of in transition between Halloween/Fall and Christmas.  Hard to decide what to work on first. I guess since Halloween is really close I better get started on some of the gifts for my husbands colleagues.

This time I came up with my own version with the September Paper Pumpkin. I love this jolly skeleton and the sentiments which also came with it.

You have never tried Paper Pumpkin! Well, this is the perfect idea for somebody which wants to craft a little but doesn't want to invest heavily into it.
