Workshop Customer Gifts

I love making little gifts for my customers to give to them when they attend my workshops. Just a little gratitude for the precious time they take out of their busy life's to see me and craft with me. If you would like one too and you live close by, check with me for classes.

This time I made small pizza boxes and decorated them with the Gather Together Bundle. The box is made with a piece of cardstock 4" x 7 1/2" scored at 1/2", 31/2", 4" and 7 1/2".  I cut the leaf with the largest leaf die and stamped one leaf with black Stazon on a piece of Window Sheet. I made sure when I assembled the box that the cut out leaf and the leaf on the Window Sheet lined up. Then I decorated it with some twine and leaves from the Gather Together dies. Did you know these leaves also emboss, which makes it really cool!

Hope my customers will like them. What do you think?

SMILE!

Want to put a smile on somebody's face? Why not send that person a card just because? With a kind message written inside, this card is guaranteed to make anyone's day. This daisy stamp from the Daisy Lane stamp set is just perfect for that.

It doesn't have to be this fancy fold card with I don't know how many layers and fancy embellishments.  I'm pretty sure the recipient will know that you put a lot of effort and love in it's creation.

Thank you for stopping by!

Gather Together

This is a little teaser for the upcoming Holiday Catalog. But do not worry its only a few more days until the release. I love the colors of Fall!  Stampin'Up! really reflected all these colors in the Come To Gather Designer Series Paper. I used half of an Acetate Card Box and wrapped it in a 2 1/2" x 12" piece of one of the paper.

Here is a closeup of the medallion I created to put on the front. I simply dipped the Leaf cut and embossing dies into the same colored ink pad as the paper and look at the awesome texture.

The leaves will be turning soon.  What will you create?

Check this out!

I just received some new goodies from our new Holiday Catalog and had to play with them right away.  Yes, we are talking holidays already, and don't panic, the catalog will be released to the public in the beginning of September. We demonstrators just get the privilege to order a few weeks ahead of time so we are prepared to show you the new products.

For today's project I actually used a couple of stamps sets. I started out with the Gather Together and the Birch Background stamp set  but than I wanted to add a little bit more color and included the Daisy Lane and the Rooted in Nature stamp set.
These four sets are perfect to create a gorgeous Fall card.
What do you think?

            Have a great weekend!

Oktoberfest is not too far off

I know I'm a little early but I wanted to make some table decorations for Oktoberfest. Since I am of Germany heritage,  I love to decorate my house for what we call the 5th season of the year. The Daisy, the Poppy and the Corn flower are traditional flowers for this time.

The daisy was easy since Stampin'Up! released a medium version of this flower. After a little brainstorming I was able to come up with the Poppy by using one of the Magnolia Memory dies. The problem came when I tried to create the Corn Flower. I searched for pictures online of the real thing to come up with an idea. I was able to use the Daisy punch and modified the leafs, by cutting little slits in every petal.

I'm very pleased with my finished project. I'm happy I was able to create my vision with just a few changes. It's always good to think outside the box.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this project!

Thanks for checking out my latest project.

Lattice Card

This is another project we will be making during my workshops happening in August. The Garden Lane Designer Series Paper is just perfect for the Lattice Card. And the Daisy Lane Bundle just completes the look.

What do you think?

I love this monochromatic look using some greens and just adding white.

This is the perfect card to say hello to all the gardeners out there.

Mason Jar Candle

This is one of the projects we will make this month during my workshops. It's getting close to Fall and what is nicer than to sit  under a cozy blanket with some candle light. OK, I admit I'm a total romantic. Why not decorate your candle holder matching the season. Stampin'Up! carries so many different flowers and other stamp sets which are making it easy to decorate your home.

I used Terracotta Tile to stamp my daisy, I think it is the perfect color for Fall. In the background you see a strip of Vellum which I stamped with the Birch background stamp. I think this makes it a perfect match.

Thank you for stopping by!

Have a nice weekend!

Petal Labels Dies

I call this my Bob Ross card! You wonder why, because even Demonstrators make mistakes but this one was a "happy" accident. I put in an order a couple of days ago and when I received it, I was surprised that the item I ordered was not there. Instead of an embossing folder I found this lovely die set called Petal Labels Die. After a few moments of investigating what possible could have gotten wrong, I noticed that I miss typed the last number of the order number. 😞   The funny part about it? It wasn't even on my wish list and now I love it.

The only thing which I really regret is, that I didn't get the bundle so now I have to order the matching stamp set and (that's the bummer) can't get my 10% off for ordering the bundle.
Well, I guess I learned my lesson not to be in a hurry and always check it twice!

Thanks for stopping by!

Free As A Bird Diorama Card

How do you plan your projects?  Do you first pick the stamp set you will be using, or do you have a specific card layout in mind. For me it's the shape of the card first, than I look at my stamp sets and trying to figure out what works best for that kind of project.
And sometimes it takes a while and I end up with a lot of wasted paper. The risk is worth the reward.

For this project I had no issues with the layout or the stamp sets. It was automatic. For this one I got inspired by looking out my craft room seeing the tree in front of my window with all the birds in it.

Look out your window, you will be surprised about all the inspiration you will get.

Thanks for checking in!

Daisy Lane

I have so many other stamp sets, but I always reach for the Daisy Lane stamp set. I might have to hide it for a little while. It is beautiful in whatever color you use. This time I chose the Rococo Rose and added a hint of Soft Suede.  I think this is a perfect match. What do you think?

For the background I chose the Pinewood Planks embossing folder. When you put it all together, you have a beautiful card.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Talk to you soon!

Masking Technique

We have two Butterfly Bushes in our yard one of them is a really good sized one with all kinds of blooms. So, while I was sitting outside watching all the Butterflies coming and going I came up with the idea to create the card below.

Just wanted to do something a little different so I used some of my Washi tape and blocked off the area I wanted to stay white. Next I just stamped on the edge of the tape. Peel the tape off and you have a nice area you can stamp your greeting plus it is beautifully framed.

The gorgeous images from the Beauty Abounds Bundle are just perfect for what I wanted to accomplish.

Here is a closeup of the stamp set.

And here are the matching dies.

Just look at all these Butterflies, aren't they just beautiful!

Free As A Bird

I love to make three dimensional cards and gifts. It's great to have a little challenge here and there. Besides that I like the difference it makes in the depth by adding a little bit of dimension to a project. Featured below is another one of my absolute favorites, the Free As A Bird stamp set and the coordinating Designer Series Paper. I believe that Stampin'Up! just outdid themselves by coming up with this gorgeous bundle. In my eyes, a must have!
