2021-2023 In-Colors

Today is the day! The new annual Stampin'Up! catalog is live and it is bringing us five brand new in colors to play with. I can only say I love them all!

To introduce you to all the colors, I thought the best idea is to create 3x3 cards in each color. I used the Brushed Blooms Bundle to stamp and cut out the Rose in neutral black so it doesn't interfere with the in-colors. The color swatches were created with our Blending Brushes which I highly recommend. You will have so much fun creating colorful backgrounds without much effort. The sentiment is from the same bundle and I thought "let's paint the town as long as I'm home by 9:00" is just perfect to introduce the new colors.

To keep it all together and maybe give it as a little gift, I also created this little box.

Click on the little catalog icon on the right, that link will bring you straight to the new catalog. So pour yourself a cup of coffee or tea and kick back and be amazed!

Happy Birthday

Hard to believe, but I was getting low on some Birthday cards. So off to my craft room to get busy! To keep it easy I wanted to create a Birthday card which is suitable for men and women. Because it is easier and faster to create duplicates when you are short on time.

So I kept my basic colors in black and white and just added a little splash of color. The frames where cut out with three different sizes from the Rectangle Stitched Framelits.

I used a few different stamp sets and bundles to create this card. Everything I used is listed below.

Do you prepare more than one of the same card? I would like to hear from you!

Thank you for checking in!

Happy Mother's Day!

Just a friendly reminder that Mother's Day is May 9th. Only a couple more weeks to get those cards in the mail. But May has also another important date, the new annual Stampin up catalog will go live on May 4th. So for my Mother's Day card I will give you a preview on a couple of upcoming items.

The Designer Series Paper is a beautiful collection it gives you a variety off color on one side and black and white on the other. Also this Zig Zag Border is part of a new Die release I'm really excited about.

I hope I got you a little bit excited about the new annual Stampin'Up! catalog.

Keep on being creative!

Creative Popsicles

It's Summer time and all these fun accessories are popping up. When I saw these cute Keychain Mirrors I instantly had to think about the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle. I always have a few gifts handy because you never know.  I wouldn't be a paper crafter if I would leave it the way it is. So I had to improve the packaging just a little bit.

I used the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper. One of the papers reminded me of Sherbet Ice Cream. The measurements were easy,  I just followed the original packaging.

I used the fun sentiments from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and the Rhinestone Basic Jewels are colored with coordinating blends.

I think it pays off to change a pre-packaged gift. a little bit. You could personalize it or wrap it in the recipients favorite color.  This is just an inspiration for you to explore your creativity.

Thank you for checking in!

Ice Cream Cones

With the Sun coming out I also hear the Ice Cream Trucks coming around. I remember when I was a child there was nothing better to hear than the jingle of the Ice Cream Truck. We were all impatiently waiting for it to show up on our street. This is also the time for outdoor birthday parties, and every good party needs a little treat to go along with the theme. Who wouldn't like to get a little Ice Cream Treat like this.

I found these lollipops in a local store and the idea of an Ice Cream Cone was born. I used the Stitched Triangles to cut out a front and a back piece and stamped one side with the Ice Cream Cone textured look. To give it that texture I embossed it with the Subtle 3D Embossing folder. The Sweet Ice Cream Stamp set comes with all these fun phrases and I used them all to decorate my cones.

Here is everything listed you need to create this project!

This is such a fun project to brighten up anybody's Summer party!

Stay creative and have fun!

Welcoming Window

The Welcoming Window from the 2021 Mini Catalog with all the little details reminded me so much about my home in Germany. You can still find these old brick buildings with the wooden shutters and the flower boxes in front of the windows. Of course I had to have this bundle and I don't regret it. At first it looks like a lot of pieces to be stamped and cut out, but it is not complicated at all. I really enjoyed playing with this bundle and will definitely play more with it.

For my card today I added some pieces from the Grace's Garden Bundle, because I wanted to add a few more plants and make it look authentic.  A little Kitty which is patiently waiting to be let in is a common picture over there.  This card is a homage to where I was born, and it made me a little homesick.

The best part about it is that this bundle will carry over into the 2021-2022 annual catalog. So I can play and have lots of fun with it.

Below you can find everything I used to create my project today.

You can purchase all of the supplies used for today's project by clicking on each product image individually or you can "Add All" to the cart and then delete the items you already own. The "Add All" to cart option is easier because you don't have to go back and forth to add every single item.  Just make sure you will edit your card before check out.

Thank you for your support and business!

Sometimes I really like to dip into some bright colors which I add to a neutral background. I just received the Garden Wishes Bundle which included these three sized Flower shapes. So I started playing around by cutting different cardstock colors and laying it on white and black. As you can see the black layout won, I really like how the colors pop.

The sentiment I wet embossed in white to make it pop out even more. I used my all time favorite Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to give some texture, but I was still not happy with the outcome. So I used a little silver paint which I carefully splattered over the entire card. This really helped draw everything out!

Below you can find all the ingredients I used.

Keep on crafting!

Love & Laughter Forever After

We are getting closer to the wedding month's and for that reason I decided to get a few cards done for this special occasion.  I didn't have to think very long about what bundle to use.  The Forever Fern bundle was my first choice.

I love all the different branches and that they look good stamped in every color.  Another spotlight are all the sentiments which are mostly in cursive.  I love how elegant it looks!

For my color combo I went with Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzelberry and Cinnamon Cider.  I think it looks awesome on the plain white, with just a few little color spots.  To add a little texture to my background I decided to emboss it with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.  After all it almost looks like a painting.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just For You

I always like to have a few little gifts prepared in advance. I like to surprise my customers with them when I drop off their orders. This time I decided to make little match box envelopes and filled them with some chocolate.  Because crafting and chocolate go so well together!!

I used the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper and Pumpkin Pie Cardstock to create the match box sleeve and used the Bow stamp and die from the Handsomely Suited Bundle. The Scalloped Tag Topper Punch gives it a nice finish for the edge of the sleeve.

What are you working on this weekend? I would like to hear from you!

Handsomely Suited

When I saw the Handsomely Suited Bundle in the Mini Catalog I instantly fell in love with it. I remember making my first shirt card and how much measuring was involved. Not to mention how much guessing was involved with creating a lapel. Well all this measuring and guessing is over. You can create wonderful shirts and complete suits with this bundle.

I like mixing a fancy dress coat with a sporty shirt. It's classy but not to over done. In today's world everything goes! When you purchase the coordinating Well Suited Designer Series Paper you can do a lot more and be your own fashion Designer! Father's Day will be here sooner than you think.

Stay creative!

Roll with it

We all know making cards for men can be difficult, because they don't like the same stuff we do. They are straight to the point and don't need any frilly or flowery stuff. Well, I should say some don't need that. That's the reason for the birthday card I made today. I stayed very straight forward and with the black and white theme. I don't think you can go wrong with that.

The Game On stamp set was perfect for it.
I like the black and white combo with just a little bit of stamping. Nothing overboard just straight to the point. Just like men like it! LOL

But don't wait to long, this stamp set is on the retiring list and will not last to much longer.

Have a great evening!

Bunny Punch Art Basket

This weekend is Easter Sunday and just in time I came up with this cute little Easter Bunny Basket! I made a Leprechaun punch art basket not too long ago and promised to come up with some other ideas. Well, here it is! I'm really excited with how it turned out.

Here is a close up.  To give it a more authentic look I used the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to make it look like fur.

Fill the inside with your favorite Easter candy and it is ready to go.

Have a wonderful and sunny Easter weekend!

Easter Bunny Chocolate Wrap

You all know that I also love to sew and embroider so today's project was inspired by an embroidery file I purchased. While I was sitting in front of my machine watching for my project to be done, I was going in my head through all my punches which I could use to get this done in paper.

Sometime it really pays off to keep some of the retired punches. Especially if you like punch art like I do.

If you need a couple of fast and easy Easter treats, this is the project for you. No measuring required. I just wrapped a piece of cardstock around the Hershey bar for length and added the ears before I adhered the wrap together. Then added the whiskers, nose, eyes and if you want you can add a bow.

I just love how this bunny turned out!

Stay creative!

Easter Wreath

I'm really loving this Springtime Joy stamp set. You can come up with so many different Spring/Easter projects. Just include another stamp set or bundle so you can stretch the ideas even further. For my project today I included the Arrange A Wreath Bundle and the Pinwood Planks 3D  Embossing Folder.

This time I just used the head of the Lamb and have it peeking through the wreath. I thought this is a really cute look for an Easter card.

Below are all the ingredients used for this project.

Have a great weekend!

Retiring In-Colors with Brushed Blooms Bundle

I don't remember if I told you the good news yet, the new annual catalog will be released soon.  Stampin'Up! has changed the annual catalog release to May 4th. Unfortunately that also means that we have to say goodbye to some of our in-colors.

So for today I used all the retiring in-colors which are Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray and Purple Posy. I thought it would we a great idea to team them up with the Brushed Blooms Bundle. I cut out the background strips with each color and stayed neutral with the roses. This way the focus stays on the in-colors.

Below you can see all five colors. Due to some issues, Purple Posy is the only color which was never available in a Stamp Pad or Ink Refill.

But hurry, supplies are going fast. If you love any of these colors then you might want to stock up!

Have a wonderful weekend!

St. Patrick's day is today and I thought why not sent a little fortune to somebody. This was an easy and fast project. I used the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder for my background and the sentiment is from the Game On stamp set. Add some chocolate coins to it and send the fortune to some lucky recipient.

But we all can feel a little lucky today, because Stampin'Up! is offering free shipping for today only. Place a $50 or more order on my online shop and you will not be charged shipping. But hurry this offer ends tonight at 11:59 pm.

Hope today is your lucky day!
