Embossing Paste

I have seen and heard a lot about Embossing Paste but I have never tried it. So for todays project I played along and used some of this new magic. I have to admit it is easier then it seemed at first, the only thing you have to be is patient because you have to let it sit for about an hour to let it dry.

The nice thing about it, you can use it  just the way it is or mix some ink into it or sprinkle some glitter on top of it. For my project I sprinkled some bronze glitter on top of it. This is a fun technique and I will be practicing a lot more with it.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

With Sympathy

Not necessarily a card I love to make but it's a card that expresses ones feelings and brings a little comfort.

I didn't want it to be too colorful but at the same time brighten their day.

Four Seasons

This year the seasons seem to be changing too fast.
I wanted to create  a project that would reflect the different times of the year.  The best part is you can put whichever season you like the most on top.

I chose spring as my top season.
I love how all the different colors come out.

Summer is my absolute favorite!  I did not put it on top, but it is the one season I cannot wait for.  I love the warmth of the sun!  Nothing better than sitting by the ocean soaking in the sun's rays.

The best part of fall is the changing of the leaves.
The colors are so beautiful.

Then there is Winter.
Everything is covered in a beautiful blanket of white.

Hope you enjoy today's project!

Back to School....

It's almost here, end of Summer. I'm not very happy about it, but I'm pretty sure there are a lot of kids looking forward to going back to School and playing with there friends. Why not send them off with a little gift for the teacher or for the BFF.

A few month ago I made a picture frame completely out of paper, you can see the tutorial HERE.  Now I saw somebody else using that box to come up with the idea to make this cute little book, which is perfect for back to school.

I needed to alter my paper to 8 1/2" x 10 3/8" and changed the scoring from 1/2" to 5/8" for each score line an all sides.  To make the cover the dimensions are 5 3/4" x 8 1/8" and score at 3 3/4" from both ends.

When you are done it fits six Hershey Nuggets perfectly.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Birthday!

Just playing around with some different techniques and colors. I haven't invested in a lot of Designer Paper so I came up with my own background. Which worked out very well.

I love the copper colored embossing powder and it goes so well with the different tones in pink.

Hope you enjoyed todays project, let me know how you like it!

Have a great evening!

You're Cool!

It's been such a hot summer here in Idaho, so decided to come up with a cool treat for my customers. These colors really get me in the mood for Berry, Peach or Lime Sherbet, how about you?

Hope you like todays project! Stay cool my friends!

You move me and Garden in Bloom

This card was my entry for our weekly color challenge. This time I combined to different stamp sets and both of them worked so well together.

I love how these colors go together.
