4th of July

4th of July is just around the corner, which is hard to believe.
So for todays project I used the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits
to create this patriotic little set.

I didn't wanted to use the typical 4th of July greetings, so
I decided to go with the Live, Laugh and Love from the
Layering Love Stamp set. I think it turned out very cute, and can
be used for some other occasions as well.

For the little box, I used the balloon from the Sweet Stack stamp set, and made the banner around the box with the Confetti Stars Builder. I cut a paper straw I found at a local Michaels in half and used it for a handle.

I found a Video Tutorial for the box on Jana's Bastelwelt, which is in German and metric measurements. You can see below the instructions in inches and I added some pictures how it will look.

Take a piece of paper 8 1/4 x 6 1/4, score the long side at 1 15/16,  3 15/16,  5 15/16 and 7  7/8
score the short side at 2,  3 15/16 and 5 7/8.

Cut on the perforated line.

It will look like this. The perforated lines in this picture have to be
scored.

Glue the bottom flaps together and the side tab and form it into
a box like the one below. When you close the lid the side panels
will fold up. I used the 1/4 inch paper punch to punch the hole
in each flap for the straw handle.
